This session invites papers that explore the relationship between gender and place (the meanings attached to geographical spaces). How do gender identities and ideologies shape communities, neighborhoods, regions, and nations? How do gendered subjects "make" place, and what are the social consequences? Papers may interrogate the role of gender at any scale of place and through any method
