Race, Gender, and Class Geographies

Mon, August 10, 10:00 to 11:30am, TBA

Session Submission Type: Paper Session (90 minute)

Description

The geographies of humanity—who we were, are, will be; what we were, are, will be; where we were, are, will be; why we were, are, will be; how we were, are, will be—are at the heart of race, gender, class intersectional sociology. The study of social geographies takes many forms ranging from nearly every …-al one could imagine. Nevertheless, space and place consistently remain the central components. Whether we are considering emotions, identities, mobilities, or trajectories, all crucially ricochet back to micro- through macro- positionalities in the past, present, and/or future. Thus, we welcome paper submissions from scholars who interrogate race, gender, and class in conjunction with space and place to expand social geographies scholarship in our discipline and section.
