The session presents the model curriculum, pedagogy and fundraising ideas for building through ASALH Branches and affiliate organizations a national program of Freedom Schools focused on the teaching of Black History. The ASALH framework was constructed using the curriculums, teaching strategies and fundraising practices of eight ASALH branches and three affiliate organizations.
