This project examines the association between inmates’ deviant behaviors and tattooing. The purpose of this project is to explore the problem of tattooed inmates in Thailand correctional facilities. Illegal tattooing is a particular problem in most Thai prisons and correctional facilities. This research will evaluate 400 male Thai inmates who are housed in federal administration prisons and correctional facilities. Additionally, the inmates’ attitudes regarding their tattoos and the resulting effects are examined for the purpose of discovering effective measures which prevent inmate tattooing.
