The financial crisis of 2008 saw British institutions and corporations under the spotlight. The bail out restored some trust in financial markets, although many critics described it as 'socialism for the rich'. After arguing that the bail out was and continues to be a form of reverse Keynesianisim, the paper discusses the new regulations introduced in the financial domain in the UK and their effectiveness.
