The Exploitation of Children in Violent Conflicts

Abstract

This presentation will report the initial findings of a recently launched study of how militants in theaters of conflict exploit and abuse young children. Cases will include the use of children as suicide bombers by Pakistani Taliban, and the sexual abuse of young boys in Afghanistan, among other examples.
