Despite a large amount of literature on anti-corruption, there are few systematic reviews focusing on anti-administrative corruption reforms and even fewer assessing the issues of effectiveness and impact. Therefore, our systematic review aims to synthesize published and unpublished studies providing empirical evidence on the effects of administrative and bureaucratic strategies, developed in the public sector, to counter administrative corruption. It also offers an opportunity to structure the diversity in issues and approaches encountered in the literature related to anti-corruption policies. The paper presents the first identification of a framework for grouping different anti-administrative corruption reforms that would be relevant and useful for future policies.
