The MATCH and PATCH program, which stands for Mothers/Fathers and their children, is designed to unite incarcerated parents with their children and improve their transition back to their families and the community. This study evaluates the effect of the program in reducing offender recidivism, and discusses general correlates of reentry success. Few studies have focused on the efficacy of jail-based reentry programs, although significant resources are devoted to jail programs at the local level. Results are discussed in the context of jail reentry program implementation and best practices for targeting high risk inmates.
