This presentation focuses on women parolees’ and probationers’ recollection of the relevance of their agents’ communications to them. Specifically, for 402 women in the Michigan system of community supervision, it answers the questions: What criminogenic needs did they discuss with their supervising agents? What did they hear their agents say? How do different types of communications affect them in the short term and over the long term? Both quantitative and qualitative data are used to answer these questions.
