Bullying has been a prevalent issue among youths for a long time and the introduction of the Internet and social media sites, like Facebook, have given another source in which individuals can experience bullying victimization in the form of cyberbullying. This research is concerned with the temporal order of traditional and cyberbullying. The hypothesis is that bullying is initiated in the real world and is then transformed into cyberbullying. This quantitative study’s data will be gathered by distributing a survey to the student body of Nipmuc Regional High School. The purpose of this study is to determine how cyberbullying is initiated so that the application of Routine Activities Theory and Social Learning Theory can generate proper forms of cyberbullying deterrence.
