There is a paucity of research examining whether the use of technology has an impact on an adolescent’s involvement in deviant behaviors in the virtual and real worlds. The current study explores the prevalence and extent of youth deviance in real and virtual environments as well as the effect of technology use on general and specific forms of criminal and deviant behaviors among school students in South Korea. The results indicate that an adolescents’ age, time spent engaging in online activities, and association with deviant peers are significant predictors of offline and online deviance. Policy implications and directions for future research will be discussed.
