Research shows that race is often a predictor of various criminal justice outcomes. Very little research has been conducted that looks specifically at race and sex offender registries. Using national level and publicly available sex offender registry data, the current study seeks to determine if race and other demographic variables can predict conviction charge. Implications will be discussed.
