Intimate partner abuse (IPA) is a well-studied topic, but there is comparatively little empirical research on women’s experiences with two or more abusive partners, despite much anecdotal evidence that it is not uncommon for women to have multiple abusive partners. Informed by a feminist pathways framework, the current analysis presents data from in-depth, life history interviews with 25 women recruited from a community-based anti-violence agency who reported having at least two abusive intimate partners. Implications for both theory and practice will be discussed.
