Understanding international and transnational and international crime, which will be among the most significant challenges in crime and justice for the US in the future. The cases of international piracy and-intellectual property theft, also piracy, will be used to illustrate the necessity of including the international context; how the international system works, how globalization is transforming the international system, and the decline of the nation-state; in the study of transnational crime.
