There has long been an observed relationship between mental health and offending; however, this relationship has not been studied in much detail across race/ethnicity nor in a sample of serious adolescent offenders in the transition between adolescence and adulthood. In this paper, we use data from the Pathways to Desistance study to explore how the mental health/offending relationship operates across race/ethnicity over time.
