Organizational justice is the perception held by employees that they are being treated fairly, respectfully, and compassionately by management. In this paper we conceptualize and measure various dimensions of organizational justice within agencies participating in the National Police Research Platform. We then test hypotheses about the impact of organizational justice on employee’s commitment to organizational goals and willingness to break the rules.
