Translational Criminology: What’s NIJ Got to do with it?

Abstract

In 2012, NIJ established the Translational Criminology Working Group. The purpose of the group is to explore how research impacts practice and what is NIJ’s role in this process. This presentation will discuss NIJ’s efforts to explore these issues. Central questions are: Does NIJ have a role in translating research to practice? How can NIJ contribute to the field of implementation science? Has NIJ been effective in disseminating research to the right stakeholders? Dr. Nadine Frederique will present the purpose of the translational criminology working group and current projects the working group has supported.
