Terror Attacks and Spree Murderers at Shopping Malls

Abstract

The authors will discuss the recent attacks on shopping malls, characteristics of the offender, response to the attack and prevention of similar attacks. We will specifically focus on the 2013 attack on the Garden State Plaza (New Jersey) mall and on the Westgate Mall in Nairobi, Kenya.
