White collar crime has an enormous impact on society, yet studies suggest that it continues to be under-represented in the field of criminology and criminal justice (CCJ). We have a limited understanding of the position of white collar crime within the broader discipline or the nature of the sub-field itself. Through content analysis of 15 leading CCJ journals, 2001-10, we undertake a meta-analysis of white collar crime articles to assess not only how and where it is represented in CCJ, but the nature of the scholarship, its methodologies, and leading authors and institutions in the sub-field. Our key findings suggest that white collar crime is underrepresented in CCJ, but disproportionately published in select outlets. Of equal interest is the discovery that most white collar crime scholarship is predominately undertaken by scholars and institutions outside the United States.
