This presentation will introduce participants to Project Combine, a unique intervention that combines an evidence-based mentoring program with an evidence-based substance abuse treatment program implemented with justice-involved youth. The project works in four diverse communities across the United States, including rural, urban, large city, and small city settings within four very different juvenile justice systems. This session will present a conceptual model for evaluating the integrated effects of the two programs, discuss early findings related to youth outcomes, and discuss implications for studying collective impact when combining two or more evidence-based programs.
