Women's Stress Adaptation in Alexandria, Egypt

Abstract

This presentation will display the possible outcomes of the impact of the Arab Spring on young women in Alexandria, Egypt. Special attention was placed on how a sampling of Egyptian women defines their future life, and what anxieties they feel about achieving their life goals. This presentation will focus on applying Merton's modes of adaptation to explore how young women are adapting to the circumstances, and how they plan to adjust certain life style behaviors.
