Historically, in the post-Korean War, South Korea actually has suffered as well, by North Korea, which has aimed to achieve their rogue regime’s strategy: Pyongyang wants to dominate South Korea with a system of communism. Recently, the number of South Korea's defectors from North Korea and immigrants from Islamic countries has dramatically increased, and a minor number of them who don’t adjust to the society of South Korea might cause trouble.
Because of these environmental situations, it is essential that people be aware South Korea is not secure from terrorist attacks any more. Without doubt, it is time to inspect and assess whether the counter-terrorism plan of South Korea is aptly working or not. This research will mainly focus on causes of and responses to North Korea’s terrorism in relation to South Korea. In practice, a comparison analysis of damages caused by terrorist attacks in South Korea and America is stated in this research. A method of comparative analysis will be used to draw a visionary policy of South Korea’s counter-terrorism that can be helpful to deal with North Korea’s terrorism activity.
