Session Submission Type: Complete Thematic Panel
The National Institute of Justice’s (NIJ) Research Assistantship Program (RAP) is designed to support criminal justice research and to provide highly qualified doctoral students with practical and applied research experience. Panel participants will provide an overview of the program and duties and responsibilities of NIJ research assistants (RA), university/college and student eligibility requirements, funding details, how to apply to the program, and announce the 2015-16 academic year RAP placement opportunities followed by a discussion of former and current RAs describing their experiences at NIJ.
