Session Submission Type: Complete Thematic Panel
This panel is intended as an overview, stepping back to consider the state of feminist theory, practice and participation in current US criminology. The Women and Crime Division has long been the largest division in the ASC, and significant progress has been made in taking gender seriously. On the other hand, panelists consider respects in which more can and needs to be done so that criminology continues to place gender, race and class, and specifically feminist understandings, at the heart of the discipline.
