Session Submission Type: Roundtable Session
In an era of political gridlock, immigration reform has hit the brick wall. Fixing the immigration system is at best elusive considering the political climate in America. Dr. Okeleke Nzeogwu’s book “The House of Bug Representatives and Bug Immigration Reform” has, through the use of insects, metaphorically interjected humor into the immigration debate. Borrowing from the animal farm illustration, the author uses the insect migration and desire for permanent residency story to shed some light on human immigration. The book adds to the discourse on the current immigration reform debate. Therefore, the book is a prelude for the roundtable discussion on immigration reform.
