Sharing Stories: Ethnographic Research of Juvenile Corrections

Abstract

In this roundtable, five researchers who have conducted ethnographies in juvenile correctional facilities share stories as researchers and stories from the field. Participants will reflect on what we can learn collectively from the five different studies, and we will discuss common elements of our ethnographies. We will further discuss whether the knowledge that we gained is transferable across settings, how to overcome challenges in the field, and the larger lessons learned from our research.
