Bureau of Justice Assistance Director, Denise E. O’Donnell recently spoke to Congress about women’s incarceration and their pathways to prison and jail. In this roundtable she is joined by other experts in this area to discuss critical issues for women caught up in the criminal legal system, including their pathways (e.g., trauma, mental illness, substance abuse) to jail/prison and their experiences while incarcerated (e.g., parenting from jail/prison, services for incarcerated women, and jail/prison overcrowding)
