This paper will discuss the preliminary findings of crime victims’ experiences with the criminal justice system and victim services in the Hispanic-dominant agricultural region. The survey was conducted with approximately 500 Fresno County residents onsite at 38 Fresno County Public Libraries in California to listen to the voice of crime victims relative to their needs and barriers for recovery and trauma response. The paper will also address whether any racial and/or gender disparity exists in crime victims’ experiences with the criminal justice process and victim services.
