Abstract

This paper employs structural equation modeling with self-report data on the use of performance enhancing drugs (i.,e., "doping") among a random sample of professional athletes from Rasht, Iran to test Gottfredson and Hirschi's general theory of crime. The results provide strong evidence in support of the theory
