Abstract

This research examines fatalities of law enforcement officers felonious killed in the line-of duty- from 2002-2014. Data includes: state, year, cause of death, contextual circumstances, age, race, and gender (of both the victim (officer) and the perpetrator; as well as information on the offender (if known); i.e., age, race, gender, prior record, type of weapon, etc.
