In Event: Early Stages of the Juvenile Justice System: Diversion and Attitudes Related to the Police
How police view young people influences their interactions with this group. While there is a large body of literature on how young people view police, there has been little documented about how police view young people. Drawing on qualitative interviews with police officers from Queensland, Australia (n = 41), this paper presents a grounded theory analysis of how police view young people, and concludes by considering some implications that stem from this.
