Preventive Measures against Terrorism in Japan

Abstract

Some Japanese radical leftists organized the Red Army. They carried out international terrorism in 1970s. In 1995 Aum Truth Religious Group killed many people by the use of sarin gas. Since 1995 we have not experienced large tragedy by terrorism in Japan. However, Japanese police have developed the preventive measures against terrorism. Recently, they carried out the measures to protect people participating in marathon race in Tokyo from terrorism. G7 Summit in Ise Shima was also severely protected from terrorism. I will analyze these recent measures.
