Polyvictimization in the National Intimate Partner and Sexual Violence Survey

Abstract

There is very little national data on the prevalence of polyvictimization specific to adults and outcomes of this type of violence. The following study will assess the prevalence of polyvictimization including physical violence, psychological aggression, and coercive control intimate partner violence among adults using the National Intimate Partner and Sexual Violence Survey (NISVS). In addition this study will explore the self-perceived health outcomes (both mental and physical) related to polyvictimization.
