Violence Against Emerging Adults in NISVS

Abstract

A growing area of research concerns better understanding emerging adults (those aged 18-25) as a specific developmental period. Individuals in this age group are of interest to criminologists given their heightened risk for victimization. This paper will explore how NISVS can inform the study of violence, particularly sexual violence, against female emerging adults.
