Community Policing: European Research Perspectives

Abstract

The research covers data from ongoing studies in eight European countries. It covers current practices of community policing (CP) with an emphasis on the use of IT and social media to improve the communication between citizens and police agencies. Findings suggest considerably strong differences between the partner countries in regards to CP practices and philosophies.
