A Study of College Students' Perceptions of Sexual Assault

Abstract

Sexual assault on college campus is a serious problem. Sexual assault prevention has become a major priority nationwide in higher education. Rape myths are incorrect beliefs about the victim and perpetrator's role in a sexual assault case. This study examined college students' perceptions of rape myths in a liberal arts college. Results shown gender is an important predictor of college students' perceptions of sexual assault.
