The Bill of Globalization: May we still talk of 'crime and migration' today?

Abstract

Research about the connection between crime and migration has developed, especially in Europe, in relation to the "second big wave of globalization", between 1970 and 2008. Then, after 2008, we had in rapid succession, the deepest economic crisis in the West since 1929, a rising terrorist threat, and the "refugee crisis". Which hypotheses might we make about the whole "crime and migration" conundrum in light of these most recent events?
