Cybersecurity in the Criminal Justice Curriculum

Abstract

Cybersecurity is a booming major across university campuses. Degree programs have been expanding in response to the growing evidence for the need to have individuals prepared for cybersecurity careers. Most of these degree programs are in the sciences and engineering. In this study, attention is given to the way that cybersecurity is offered in 500 colleges offering criminal justice coursework. A specific focus is given to how criminal justice and criminology courses are tied into cybersecurity academic programs.
