Sexual Assualt on College Campuses: Religious Affiliaton

Abstract

This presentation will examine the extent of sexual assault on college campuses. The project will use a survey to compare rates of sexual assault at several universities and correlate these with the religious versus secular nature of the school, size of the university and race/ethnicity of the victim. Key to the project is an online survey undergraduates which will be replicated at least three universities. The research questions to be answered include Is the rate of sexual assault at a university correlated with the religious affiliation of the school? Is the rate of sexual assault at a University correlated with its size? Are students of particular races more likely to be sexually assaulted? Results will be presented.
