Abstract

Police responses should take into account the need to understand the perspective that others have when responding to any type of emergent type call. The results may lessen the possibility of excessive force complaints against the police. Understanding and adjusting to the person based on generational differences may provide better outcomes. Millennials came into adulthood with additional supervision often referred to as the helicopter parents. They are often confident and possess a swagger.
