Saving Police Marriages

Abstract

As divorce rates creep higher, they continue to do so for police couples too. I examine ways to maintain a stable household so it translates to a healthy working mentality. By looking at marriages between 2 police officers, I found specific coping mechanisms not employed within civilian homes. The stressors involved in policing infiltrate the home and can make a once stable environment into a volatile one.
