Stress and Burnout Among Law Enforcement Executives: A Study

Abstract

To date the extant scholarship on police burnout and stress has focused primarily on front line police officers. Relatively few studies have addressed the issues of work related stressors with police administrators. We present findings from a multi-wave survey of police executives detailing factors related to work life balance, professional quality of life, and stress.
