Making Research and Data Useful for Helping Community Corrections Organizations Change

Thu, Nov 17, 8:00 to 9:20am, Hilton, Prince of Wales, 2nd Level

Abstract

While many community corrections agencies seek new and better data to inform policy, program and practice shifts with solid scientific evidence, many researchers lament that our data needs considerable improvement. This presentation considers how research can improve to keep more accurate and useable data and how researchers can make advances in producing data that is more transportable and usable to community corrections practitioners for improving organizational processes and client/community outcomes.
