Dating back to the Chicago Area Project, supplementary schooling programs have been theoretically linked with a decrease in rates of crime. Over time, a myriad of academic techniques and schedules have been implemented. This presentation will review the literature on supplementary schooling programs attempting to identify best practices generally and the most effective strategies in relation to crime reduction.
