In 1985 Kathy Wilhoit, the mother of two infant daughters, was brutally murdered in her home in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Ten months later her husband, Greg Wilhoit, was arrested, wrongfully convicted, and condemned to death in Oklahoma. He was exonerated in 1993 after spending almost five years on death row having lost everything: his wife, his home, his livelihood, his physical and mental health, and the opportunity to raise his daughters. Ms. Vollertsen, Greg’s sister, shares the impact these events had on her, her parents, her nieces and all of Greg’s family and friends.
