Bridging Research and Practice on School Safety: NIJ’s White Papers and Meeting of State Representatives

Abstract

In 2016, the National Institute of Justice has worked to link research and practice in the area of school safety. These efforts include a working group meeting with state school safety representatives and commissioning thought leaders to write summaries of the research. Drs. Carlton and Frederique will discuss these efforts and summarize the general findings. They will also provide recommendations on how practice can inform research and vice versa.
