Effective Crime Prevention and Enforcement Programs in Cities

Abstract

Urban centers around the world tend to carry the brunt or crime and violence. This study reviewed evidence from comprehensive programs in the US, Latin America and Europe that can be helpful to other cities suffering from high crime and violence rates. The aim of this publication is to summarize the available evidence with a particular focus on implementation mechanisms and policy changes to assist World Bank client countries and others.
