Fri, Nov 18, 8:00 to 9:20am, Hilton, Jefferson Ballroom, 3rd Level

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of parents' satisfaction of life on juvenile delinquency. There are a number of factors that cause juvenile delinquency. However, this study examines whether the smallest component in society, parents' satisfaction of life, affects modestly on juvenile delinquency. The current study analyzes three points: first, the impact of parents' satisfaction of life on children's satisfaction; second, how parents' satisfaction affects children's attachment towards parents; and lastly, how all the variables used in this study affect juvenile delinquency. The data come from the 2013 Korea Children's Youth Panel Survey (KCYPS) and are analyzed by using Stata and SPSS and structural equation modeling.
