Food Fraud Incident Clustering and Applying the Crime Triangle

Abstract

This presentation presents current Food Fraud strategy and policy trends including industry and government compliance requirements. The compliance includes the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) and the US Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA). Building upon that, the methods from two recent publications will be presented. The first concept is incident clustering and the second is using the Crime Triangle to visualize a holistic and all-encompassing product fraud prevention scheme.
