SafeCity.in has been collecting anonymous reports about gender-based violence (GBV) from women throughout India for 3 years. We crowdmap the reports and examine the patterns in dialogue with local communities so as to address 'hot spots' in creative and practically-minded ways. This has resulted in some very effective interventions. This paper examines reports within our repository of now 8500+ cases to specifically consider patterns within cases in which women were targeted in public transportation sites. We use both qualitative and quantitative analyses to articulate and analyze the trends in this data, suggesting some unique ways of considering and addressing this particular sort of GBV that occurs far more often than it should in public spaces
